A major EPC is looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join their project team in Thailand on a contract basis.
Scope of work entails:
Lead the process design team on onshore or offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/ EPCM projects.
Advise the Department Manager the manpower and skill levels required to ensure smooth execution of the project.
Assign work to the project team appropriately.
Liaise with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as required by the project.
Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client and vendor meetings.
Overall responsible for the man-hour & schedule monitoring and control and quality of the work produced.
Primary involvement in a typical project includes:
o Develop process design basis; operating and control philosophy; isolation philosophy and safeguarding memorandum.
o Develop Pre/Commissioning manual and Operating manual.
o Prepare performance test procedures.
o Perform process simulations/ calculations including heat and material balance; thermal design of exchanges; hydraulic calculations of piping networks and pipelines, blow down studies etc.
o Perform piping equipment and instruments (control valves and PSV's) selection and sizing selection of control scheme.
o Prepare equipment and instrument datasheets.
o Prepare PFD, UFD & P&IDs.
o Prepare SAFE and Cause and Effect charts
o Prepare line list and tie-in list.
o Prepare process equipment list.
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of twelve years (12) relevant experience in safety engineering design in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemical, Petrochemical or related industries. Experience should cover at least five (5) years of Processing engineering design with Engineering Consultant.
