A Major operator requires an Instrument Supervisor to join them on permanent residential basis on a refinery project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The main responsibilities are to supervise the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and testing of a wide range of electric, electronics, pneumatic and microprocessor based analytical instruments and process analyzers, lab analyzers, instrument equipment and associated control systems, protections with associated Programming Logic Control (PLC) with ESD Systems, fire & gas systems, telecommunication system, Burner Management System (BMS), GE Gas Turbine Control and Protection System, distribution control systems (DCS), turbine machinery, steam generators, thermal control system and pipelines instrument equipment in the plant. Includes monitoring of work execution and providing guidance to ensure conformity to statutory and company regulations, deals personally with more complex maintenance, supervises shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities, executes modifications and commissioning of expansions for new plant activities. Prepares turnaround and modular shutdown plan and material requirement for instrumentation and control systems.
Suitable candidates will have completed technical secondary education followed by a 3 year diploma in instrumentation / Electronics Engineering with 8 years experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic, pneumatic and microprocessor-based instruments and control systems in an oil / gas or petrochemical industry.
